Roll Tooling
Engineered Around
the Finished Profile
SAMCO designs and manufactures roll tooling to translate profile requirements into a controlled forming sequence. Tooling can be developed for SAMCO equipment or engineered to replace and retrofit tooling on existing rollformers.

Where Profile Engineering Becomes Forming Reality
Roll tooling determines how flat strip is progressively shaped through each stand of the rollformer. The design of that forming sequence influences dimensional consistency, strip behaviour, surface quality, and the ability to run the profile repeatedly at production speed.
Tooling Developed From
the Profile Backward
SAMCO begins with the finished profile and develops the roll pass sequence required to achieve it. Geometry, material behaviour, springback, forming contact, and station-to-station progression are considered together so that the tooling supports a stable path to the finished section.
Designed, Manufactured, and Proven Before Production
SAMCO manufactures roll tooling and can validate new roll sets on tooling tryout mills before shipment. This helps identify adjustment needs in a controlled environment and reduces the amount of production time required to bring replacement or new tooling into service.
In-House Tooling Manufacture
Tooling design moves directly into machining and finishing within SAMCO’s manufacturing environment.
Tryout Capability
New roll sets can be tested on a rollformer before shipment to verify forming performance and setup.
Production Readiness
Required throughput helps shape drive capacity, controls, cut-off approach, and supporting line functions.
Tooling for New and
Existing Rollformers
SAMCO can design tooling for new production requirements and replace tooling on existing rollforming equipment, including machines not originally supplied by SAMCO. This makes the tooling capability relevant both to new-line projects and to manufacturers looking to introduce new profiles, restore worn tooling, or improve an existing forming process.
